Euphorbia pulvinata also commonly known as the Cushion Spurge or Pincushion Spurge is a very interesting succulent euphorbia native to areas of South Africa. It is known for its fascinating growth habit creating dense and cushion-like mounds of short stems.

The short stems are adorned with small, sharp spines along their ridges and they will grow very smalls leaves that typically come up around the top of the stem. In the spring and summer this Euphorbia produces clusters of bright yellow flowers that add to this plants charm.

Like most Euphorbia, pulvinata thrives in bright, indirect light. It’s best to water moderately during the growing season and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Using a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti will help the plant dry out quick enough to prevent any rotting.

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.

(You will receive a bare rooted plant similar to the ones in the pictures provided.)
