Like other Gasterias, this variety is native to South Africa, where it grows in semi-arid environments. Gasteria nigricans var. marmorata f. variegata is characterized by its fleshy, flattened, long leaves and distinctive variegation. The variegation differs from plant to plant, it can include streaks or spots in shades of green and white, that blend together to create a marbled effect. The texture and pattern of its leaves give it a very decorative appearance that has made it popular amongst collectors.

Like most succulent types, Gasteria nigricans v. maemorata f. variegata thrives in bright, indirect light. It’s best to water moderately during the growing season and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Using a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti will help the plant dry out quick enough to prevent any rotting. 

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.
