Cereus Peruvianus 'Monstrose'
Cereus Peruvianus 'Monstrose', also known as the Peruvian Apple Cactus is native to areas in South America. It’s popular for its unpredictable growth habit, with its columnar stems that twist and turn. While the growth is unpredictable, the stems generally grow upright reaching impressive heights, on occasion they will need assistance by staking. In mature plants, large and fragrant, white coloured flowers can emerge. These flowers are nocturnal meaning they only open at night, adding even more of a dramatic flare to this plant.
Like most cacti, Cereus Peruvianus 'Monstrose' thrives in bright, indirect light. It’s best to water moderately during the growing season and allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Using a well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti will help the plant dry out quick enough to prevent any rotting.
Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.
(You will receive a bare rooted plant similar to the ones in the pictures provided.)
