Mammillaria polythele 'Toluca' is apart of one of the largest genera in the cactaceae family. Theirs is approximately 200 known Mammillaria varieties. This variety is also sometimes commonly called Pincushion, Powderpuff cactus, Fishhooks, Snowball cactus.

Mammillaria polythele 'Toluca' is a nursery produced cultivar. It was cultivated to have no spines or one or two small spines per areole. Mammillaria polythele is native to Mexico. This particular cultivar grows as singular plant with tufts of fluffy mounds. Mammillarias are known for their ring or "crown" of flowers that appear in spring and summer, this variety has bright pink flowers.

This plant is drought tolerant and requires well-draining soil and bright, indirect sunlight.

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available.
